Overview

Travel RN position in Alexandria, Louisiana
Medical ICU
36 hours per week
13-week contract

Schedule

12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Every other weekend
Holiday coverage required
Self-scheduling available within unit guidelines

Unit Details

26-bed ICU
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1
Floating may be required to Medical-Surgical units, with priority to other ICU units
Cares for ICU COVID-19 patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS

Preferred

TNCC

Procedures / Clinical Experience

Intubations
Cardioversions
Ventriculostomy drain placement and management
IABP management
CRRT
Proning of patients

Additional Notes

Uses Meditech documentation system
Required uniform: ceil blue scrubs
White or ceil blue scrub jacket optional
Green surgery scrubs provided when working with COVID patients
