Registered Nurse — Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum

Location: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
Schedule: 3x12, 7p–7a, with weekend and holiday rotation
Contract length: 13 weeks

Overview

This role is for a registered nurse providing direct patient care on a labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum unit. The nurse is responsible for comprehensive assessments, care coordination, patient and family education, treatments, and ongoing evaluation of patient response to care.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• BLS
• LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (1 year of experience)
• LDRP - Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum experience within the last year

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Provide nursing rounds, treatments, and patient/family education
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
• Develop and revise plans of care based on patient needs and outcomes
• Support quality improvement activities and patient safety goals
• Delegate and coordinate care with other team members as appropriate

• BSN
