Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 19:00 - 7:30)
Hours per Week: 36
Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:2
On-Call: 36 hours every 6 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month)
Float Requirement: Yes
Holiday Time Off: Requests for time off during specified holidays will not be accommodated (includes major holidays and local breaks). Holiday time off may be discussed onsite after arrival.

Required Certifications

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC
AWHONN (for Labor & Delivery)
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC
NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Certifications must be current, actual certificates uploaded (no screenshots/photos), and not expire within 45 days of assignment start.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience, with recent experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current ACLS certification
Current AWHONN certification for Labor & Delivery
Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current NIHSS certification
Current NRP certification
