Emergency Room Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Lillington, North Carolina
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 48 hours per week
• Short-term acute care setting
• Level III trauma center and teaching hospital

Role Details

• Emergency department nursing
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• Holidays are required
• Every-other-weekend schedule
• Must float between both campuses as needed
• Callouts for scheduled shifts require makeup shifts as determined by the department

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Military
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or Military
• PALS issued by American Heart Association or Military
• NIHSS
• CPI
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Scheduling and Assignment Notes

• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Block scheduling accommodation is not specified
• On-call is not required
• RTO is at manager discretion

Additional Requirements

• Background check required within 6 months of start
• Education verification required and must be related to the specialty
• Physical exam required within 1 year and updated annually
• Tdap within the last 10 years required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 1 year of start
• Drug screen required: negative 10-panel within 30 days
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for employment

Return-to-Work Policy

• Must be gone for 1 year to return as a traveler
• System has a 2-contract limit; can extend once, then must be gone for 6 months to return
