Travel/contract role in Anniston, Alabama
Night shift, 3x12 hours
Every other weekend
36 hours per week
8-week contract
Local candidates within 60 miles are considered

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Ortho Trauma experience
NIH certification
Fit test
Transcript, diploma, or third-party education verification
State license verification
Nursys verification
Competency exam
Background check
EPLS/GSA/SAM check
HHS/OIG check
Drivers license or state ID
Social Security number
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the past 12 months
TB questionnaire
Tdap vaccination or declination within 10 years of start
MMR immunity documentation for measles, mumps, and rubella
Hepatitis B documentation
Varicella immunity documentation
10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

Clinical Setting

High-acuity, high-volume emergency department
Patient population includes neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
General adult/pediatric emergency care
Blood product administration
Central line care and management
IV starts
Continuous IV sedation
IV vasopressors
Procedural sedation administration
Ortho-trauma
Pediatric abuse identification and reporting
Pediatric near drowning
Pediatric respiratory infections
Pediatric seizures

Additional Notes

30-minute lunch required; skipped meals are not allowed
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4

The facility is new grad friendly allowing you to explore other units of interest to help you find your niche. Like all facilities there are the typical woes of burnout nurses but the beautiful thing about this facility is that every one is a team and helps to lift each other up!
