Endoscopy Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Atlanta, Georgia
- Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 20 weeks
- Weekend rotation: every other weekend
- No call
- Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice
- Locals accepted
Unit Details
- Endoscopy unit averages 45–65 cases daily
- 8 procedure rooms
- Supports inpatient and outpatient procedures
- Respiratory therapists assist with bronchoscopies
- GI techs support a wide range of GI procedures, including advanced interventional cases
- In-house anesthesia support is available
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Georgia
- Endoscopy (2 years of experience)
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Additional Requirements
- Full compliance is required before start
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off
- Must work assigned major holidays if they fall during the assignment
- Background check must be complete before start
- Education verification is required
- Photo ID required
- Verification of most recent employer required
- 2 clinical references required
- Skills checklist required
- Physical exam required
- TB questionnaire required
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
- Drug screen required
- Flu vaccination or declination required
- Tdap is highly recommended but not required
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation are required
- NURSYS verification required
- NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit needs
- PALS may be required depending on whether the unit accepts pediatric patients
