Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Atlanta, Georgia
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 20 weeks
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• No call
• Floating may be required within the facility and scope of practice
• Locals accepted

Unit Details

• Endoscopy unit averages 45–65 cases daily
• 8 procedure rooms
• Supports inpatient and outpatient procedures
• Respiratory therapists assist with bronchoscopies
• GI techs support a wide range of GI procedures, including advanced interventional cases
• In-house anesthesia support is available

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Georgia
• Endoscopy (2 years of experience)
• Endoscopy experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

• Full compliance is required before start
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off
• Must work assigned major holidays if they fall during the assignment
• Background check must be complete before start
• Education verification is required
• Photo ID required
• Verification of most recent employer required
• 2 clinical references required
• Skills checklist required
• Physical exam required
• TB questionnaire required
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray required
• Drug screen required
• Flu vaccination or declination required
• Tdap is highly recommended but not required
• Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B documentation are required
• NURSYS verification required
• NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit needs
• PALS may be required depending on whether the unit accepts pediatric patients
