Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location: Salem, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Variable swing/graveyard shifts between 12:00 AM and 5:30 AM
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Job Description
- Perform OB ultrasound exams (OB certification required).
- Operate advanced ultrasound equipment, computer systems, and film processors.
- Work effectively within a team and demonstrate empathy and compassion toward patients, families, visitors, and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an OB/GYN Sonographer
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Valid driver’s license, passport, or state ID.
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start (7-year search).
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and ongoing every 30 days.
- Physical exam within one year of start.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within one year of start.
- Drug screening (10-panel) within 90 days of start.
- Required immunizations or documented declinations: Tdap, Flu (seasonal), Hepatitis B, Mumps, Rubella, Rubeola (Measles), Varicella.
- Badge photo with white background submitted at least 8 days prior to start.
- Completion of required HealthStream training modules by designated due dates.
Additional Requirements
- References: Two references within the last 2 years showing at least 1 year in a comparable specialty; one must be supervisory within the last 12 months.
- Competency exams with passing scores as required by the facility.
