Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location

City: Kinston, North Carolina

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (10:00 AM – 10:00 PM)
Every other week (EOW) / every other holiday (EOH)
No call, no block scheduling
No local travelers within a 50-mile radius

Unit Details

Emergency Department with 34 beds
Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
Approximately 100 patient visits per day
Includes triage area and telemetry
May involve conscious sedation
ED provider team includes MDs and PAs
Use of Epic electronic health record and Pyxis medication system

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system
