Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse (Night Shift)
- Location: Spokane, Washington
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Unit: Float between units as needed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Block Scheduling: Required
- Patient Ratios: 1:1 and 1:2
- Specialty Requirement: Cardiovascular ICU experience required

Required Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Education
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating ability to work with or without accommodation
- Fit mask test (respirator fit testing) required for travel candidates, updated annually
- Immunizations and screenings:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years (declination accepted)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer with acceptable alternatives
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination (special rules for Alaska placements)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations not required but unvaccinated must follow infection prevention protocols
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start (instant acceptable)
Background & Compliance Checks
- Background check within 90 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education verification required for nursing degree; international education requires diploma/transcript or CES report
- State-specific searches and registry checks as applicable for Washington and border states
- WA Multi-State Licensed Nurses Demographic Attestation required for out-of-state compact license holders prior to start
- References and work history verification as per policy
Competencies & Training
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists, updated annually
- Epic training modules required for Providence hospital systems; transcripts must be submitted prior to moving to per diem work
- Annual regulatory and specialty-specific Workramp training modules required
Additional Information
- Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be required to float to other nearby facilities
- Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required for badge issuance
