Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, nights (1800-0630)
• Patient Ratio: 1:12-16
• Weekend Shifts: 3 per 4-week schedule
• Scrubs: Any color allowed
• Return to Office (RTO) Limit: 2 requests per contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• Experience working with patient ratios of 1:12-16

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Background checks including:

  • National Criminal Check
  • State and County Searches (10 years, all aliases)
  • Social Security Number Trace
  • National Sex Offender Registry
  • Federal Exclusion Lists (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
• Education verification with official transcript or diploma including graduation date
• Missouri-specific EDL Search within 30 days of start
• Primary source verification of state license within 30 days of start
• Physical exam within the last 12 months (not required annually)
• Fit testing completed onsite
• Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year, with additional requirements if positive
• Immunizations or proof of immunity/declination for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug screening within 30 days of start (not required annually)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (mask required if exempt)

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam with a passing score of 84% or higher (2 attempts allowed; ICU only 1 attempt)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual
• Pass/fail testing related to EKG and medication as applicable

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete and sign confidentiality and code of conduct agreements
• Required to complete demographic and orientation quizzes prior to start
• Onsite AVADE training may be required if contract is extended beyond initial period (specific to certain units)
• Two professional references within 3 years of start required
• Verification of most recent employment and skills checklist required

This position offers a night shift travel opportunity for experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists with a minimum of one year of experience. First-time travel therapists are welcome to apply.
