Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Mid shift, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Monday - Friday
- Call: 1 weekend of call per month (total 2 days)
- Average Daily Cases: 15-18
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week (subject to low census cancellation up to 40 hours per contract)
- Locals: Not accepted within 70-mile radius
- First-timers: Accepted
Unit Procedures & Responsibilities
- Circulating, Level 1, Scrub roles required
- Procedures include:
- TAVR
- Right and left heart catheterization
- Diagnostics
- Impella insertion
- ECMO
- IABP
- TEE
- Cardioversion
- EP Ablations
- Pacemakers
- ICD implants
- Watchman
- Mitraclips
- Coronary angiography
- ECHO
- Lead extractions and reimplantation
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred Certifications
- NIH Stroke Certification
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Additional Information
- Pending License: Accepted
- RTO (Return to Office) Restrictions: All RTO must be submitted with application; afterward at manager discretion
- Charting System: EPIC
- Scrubs: Provided
- Parking: Free onsite parking
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 5 years for positives
- Drug screening within 12 months of start
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually
- COVID vaccination preferred
- OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start (fit testing done onsite)
- Background check within 12 months including SSN trace, 7-year county and nationwide search, sex offender search
- Various state-specific background checks and registries as required for Missouri
Orientation & Training
- Completion of required facility-specific modules and orientation checklists
- Annual renewal of certain certifications and trainings (e.g., Abiomed Impella Online Training for Cath Lab staff)
- Fit mask testing onsite during first week of orientation

- Locals within 70 miles are not accepted for this travel assignment
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
