RN (Registered Nurse) — Fargo, North Dakota

Overview

• 13-week contract
• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday
• May rotate between days and nights based on unit needs
• Self-scheduling is allowed, but shifts may be adjusted to balance the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active North Dakota or compact RN license
• Active BLS certification from AHA
• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting with 200+ beds
• At least 1 year of previous Medical Surgical experience
• Travel experience required
• Experience working in a busy level one trauma center

Work Setting

• Medical-surgical inpatient RN role
• Adult trauma, medical, and surgical patient population
• 32-bed unit
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights

Responsibilities

• Inpatient RN documentation
• Assessments
• Skills and education support

Scheduling and Floating

• Must be willing and able to float to any medical-surgical unit across 3 locations in Fargo if needed
• May float to medical-surgical units at Broadway, SMCF, and South University

Additional Notes

• Cannot accept clinicians living within 60 miles of the facility
• Candidates living 60 to 80 miles away are considered local travel
• Must note in submission if the clinician has ever worked for Sanford Health; if so, there must be an end date at least 6 months before submission
• All clinicians must badge in and out
• Navy blue scrubs required
