Cardiac Catheterization Technologist (Contract)

Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 36 hours per week
Call Requirements: None

Job Summary

Support the cardiovascular services team by assisting physicians and clinical staff during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. Work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies for cardiac catheterization procedures
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures
Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Maintain sterile technique and comply with infection prevention standards
Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the clinical team
Document procedural information accurately and completely
Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure care as needed
Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives
Maintain equipment and report operational concerns promptly

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist, including experience within the last year
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification or Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with cardiac catheterization experience
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

Skills and Abilities

Strong attention to detail and patient safety
Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing procedural schedules
Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care
