Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit & Patient Population

Surgical Services, Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Adult patients
Unit beds: 2
Patient ratio: 1:1

Schedule

Shift: Days, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Workweek: 4 shifts of 10 hours each
On-call: 6-13 shifts per 4-week period, including weekends and holidays
May float to main OR or vascular cases if no scheduled heart cases

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

Skills & Experience

Must have CVOR experience
Epic EMR proficiency required
Preferred: 5+ years CVOR RN experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Equipment & Technology

Experience with ECMO, Impella, Maze procedure, IABP
EMR systems: Epic (required), Workday, Shiftwizard

Additional Information

Dress code: Scrubs in ciel color; adherence to facility dress code policy
Weekend and holiday on-call required
