RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel RN role in the Emergency Dept at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.
Contract length: 16 weeks.
Schedule: 36 hours per week.
RTO/special scheduling will not be accommodated.
No floating outside the ED; must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.

Unit Details

Unit Name: ER
101 beds
Typical patient ratio: 4:1; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
Techs work in the cardiac monitoring unit and the internal processing area; triage and unit clerks are on days and nights
Documentation system: Cerner
Equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors
Dress code: Navy scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year

Required Certifications

ACLS
BLS
PALS
TNCC
CPI
NIHSS
ENPC

Preferred Qualifications

Previous HCA experience

Additional Notes

Must work every other weekend
Scheduling must meet the needs of the department
Patient experience expectations include AIDET, respectful behavior, updating boards, and keeping patients informed throughout the visit
