RN Med Surg Telemetry

Overview

• Travel RN float pool position
• Specialty: Med/Surg Tele – IMC
• Floats to Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units within the facility
• Day shift: 0700–1930
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 48
• Weekend scheduling varies based on unit need
• No call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS
• 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• 1 year or more of total travel experience
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS
• 2 years inpatient hospital experience
• Minimum 1 year travel assignments
• 2 years experience preferred
• Prior Float Pool experience

Unit Details

• Float Pool
• Unit bed count varies by floated unit; smallest unit has 15 beds and largest has 40+ beds
• Typical patient ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights, with higher ratios possible when stretched
• Equipment: Abbott Plum Pumps
• EMR: EPIC

Additional Information

• Education modules are assigned for Day 1 onboarding
• Scrubs may be any color if clean and professional
• Unacceptable attire includes jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes
