Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab (Travel Assignment)

Contract Details

• Travel position
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
• Flexibility required for shift times (possible shifts: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Call required (distributed evenly among staff, including weekends)

Unit Overview

• 3 operating cath lab rooms (2 are Electrophysiology compatible)
• Staff per case: 2 RNs and 2 Cardiovascular Technicians (CVTs), unless anesthesia or non-invasive support is needed
• Equipment: Cath lab with advanced cardiovascular technology
• EMR system: Meditech
• Permanent positions available on unit

Typical Procedures

• Cardiac catheterization (Cath)
• Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
• Electrophysiology procedures (A-fib)
• Watchman device implantation
• Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
• INARI procedures
• Device implantations (pacemakers, ICDs, Impella)

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Team-oriented and hardworking
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Adheres to dress code: scrub colors royal blue or black

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Texas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

• On-call team handles emergent cases, including weekends
