Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Self-scheduling for core staff; travelers are added in
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed

Unit Details

• ICU has 33 beds with an average daily census of 16
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for adults
• Common patient types include trauma, cardiac, overdose/substance use, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• Must be able to titrate drips
• Must be able to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips
• Must be able to float to PCU and occasionally MedSurg
• Driver’s license required at submittal
• Must live outside the 50-mile radius
• Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity

Additional Details

• Weekend shifts are Saturday and Sunday
• If called back in while on call, arrival is required within 30 minutes
• Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
• Orientation includes 1 unit-specific shift
• RTO must be submitted upfront; up to 7 days total for a 13-week contract
• Additional RTO will not be approved
• Minimum of 2 holidays within the contract timeframe are required
