Ultrasound Technologist

Location

Truckee, California

Contract

13 weeks
Immediate need

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10s, block shift, 7:30am–6:00pm
Swing shift available: 1:30pm–midnight, Monday–Friday
Rotating weekends and rotating call
Call required
Overnight call accommodation available at additional cost

Required Qualifications

BLS certification
ARDMS
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
2–5 years of ultrasound experience
Breast imaging experience
Experience in an acute care hospital setting performing sonography in obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, small parts, and guidance procedures

Job Responsibilities

Breast imaging
General ultrasound
Limited procedures including thyroid and lymph node biopsies, drain placements, and OBGYN
Emergency ultrasound coverage with the ER
Patient volume: 8–10 patients per day

Clinical Skills / Technical Experience

Advanced cross-sectional anatomy and pathophysiology
Operation of ultrasound equipment with duplex Doppler, color flow, 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging, plus post-processing
