Respiratory Therapist Tech

Location

Hilo, Hawaii

Contract

15 weeks
Day shift: 0630-1900
Three 12-hour shifts weekly
No guarantee of hours

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Hawaii
Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Preferred Qualifications

PALS with NRP preferred
Current Hawaii license preferred, but application already submitted for Hawaii license is acceptable

Job Responsibilities

Continuous airway management
Ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support
Physician consulting
CPR
All aspects of respiratory care

Equipment / Systems

Computerized charting
Pyxis medication management
PB 980
PB 840 ventilators
V60
Para Pac transport ventilator

Additional Notes

No first assignments
Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exception required before contract start date
Flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment
Must arrive the Thursday before start for the Friday employee health appointment
