Location: Herrin, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Work setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation unit
Patient population includes a high neuro (neurological) population; stroke certification is a plus but not required
Weekend schedule: Every third weekend (Friday and Saturday nights)
Sunday shifts are part of the regular workweek, with some flexibility possible

Assess patients’ mental, physical, and spiritual needs
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Provide explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible persons
Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
Manage conflict professionally to contribute to a healthy workplace environment
Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care
Participate in continuing education
Maintain complete and accurate medical records

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
Minimum of 2 years of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
