Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech

Location: Carbondale, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 8-hour days
Hours per Week: 40

Job Description

Position is for the open-heart surgical team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
Call duty approximately 10 days per month, including 1 or occasionally 2 weekends, with a 30-minute call response time.
Primary cases include scrubbing cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung surgeries.
Must be willing to scrub general OR cases if not needed in the CVOR.

Required Qualifications

Valid CVOR Technologist license in Illinois
Minimum of 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification
Experience scrubbing cardiac bypass cases
Experience scrubbing valve replacement cases
Experience scrubbing robotic lung cases
Operating Room (OR) Technologist experience

Additional Information

This is a contract position with a 13-week duration.
The role involves consistent 8-hour shifts with on-call responsibilities.
