RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel assignment in the Emergency Dept. at an ER unit with 101 beds.
36 hours per week.
Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients

Preferred

Previous HCA experience

Schedule / Float

Every other weekend
No block scheduling
No floating outside of the ED
Must be open to floating to all sections in the ED

Unit Details

Typical patient ratio: 4:1
Up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
Techs work in cardiac monitoring and the internal processing area
Unit clerks are available days and nights
Equipment includes baxter pumps and GE monitors
Documentation system: Cerner

Additional Notes

Required uniform: navy scrubs
Patient experience expectations include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping boards updated with patient information throughout the visit
