PACU Preop RN

Role

  • RN in PACU / Preop
  • Travel assignment
  • 1 opening

Facility / Unit

  • 3rd floor
  • 3 PACU beds
  • Shared position with Preop
  • Primarily adult patients; ENT cases once a month

Schedule

  • Days
  • Some call on nights and weekends
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: around 40
  • Weekend hours: on-call coverage
  • Call response time: 30 minutes to arrive at work after being notified of a case
  • Orientation is weekly on Mondays

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
  • PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preop and PACU experience

Additional Notes

  • Float scope: no expectation to float anywhere else
  • Common cases/treatments: appy, gallbladder
  • Unacceptable attire: open-toed shoes, fake fingernails
