Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel Position

Location: Spruce Pine, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Acute Care (Progressive Care Unit)
• Number of Beds: 25 inpatient (up to 27 including ED holds)
• Location: 2nd Floor, Main Hospital Building
• Patient Ratios: Not specified
• Equipment Used: BiPAP, Vapotherm, Lifts, Baxter Pumps, Telemetry/Continuous O2
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Cerner

Staffing

• Day Shift: Charge nurse + 4-5 RNs + 2-3 PCTs/HUC (House Supervisor on weekends)
• Night Shift: Charge nurse + 4-5 RNs + 2-3 PCTs (House Supervisor every night)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including PCU experience within the last year
• Telemetry experience
• NIHSS certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
