PACU RN Travel Contract

Location

Shreveport, Louisiana

Assignment Details

Travel/contract role
13-week contract
Day shift, 12:00–20:30
40 hours per week
Patient ratio: 1:2, with overflow up to 1:4
Call is every 3rd weekend, usually scheduled on a volunteer basis
Holidays are part of the call schedule
Scrub color: royal blue

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Louisiana
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (2 years of experience)
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

7-year criminal background check
EPLS/GSA/SAM screening
HHS/OIG screening
Sex offender search
NURSYS verification
Competency exam
Skills checklist
Resume/application
Physical exam within 12 months of start
Fit testing within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
Drug screen within 60 days of start
Flu vaccination, declination, or approved exemption during flu season

Health Documentation

Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation

Important Assignment Note

Traveler may be assigned to an emergency team and may be expected to remain at the facility during an emergency event or serve on the relief team
