ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Bridgeton, Missouri
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
• Skills required: cardiac monitoring and emergency response, IV therapy, titration of cardiac drips, care for ventilated patients
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system required
• Navy scrubs dress code

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience titrating cardiac drips
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace, 7-year county residency/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search
• Missouri-specific background checks and Family Care Safety Registry registration required prior to start
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if prior positive PPD
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit test completed onsite during orientation)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID vaccination series preferred but not mandatory
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and training, including AbioMed Impella Online Training for ICU staff (annual update required)
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain background)
• Signed confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
• Post-start orientation checklists to be completed during orientation

Additional Information

• Schedule includes every other weekend work
• Night shift only, 3 shifts per week
• Facility requires annual updates for certain certifications and trainings
• Candidates must complete all required modules and submit documentation timely to remain compliant and avoid risk of removal from assignment
