Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Location: Vineland, New Jersey
Shift: Nights (12-hour shift, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse with recent hands-on experience in postpartum couplet care. This role requires adherence to a structured orientation and ongoing compliance with facility policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Minimum 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
• Postpartum care experience
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination.
• Orientation includes:

  • Virtual Welcome meeting and online HealthStream modules (to be completed by Monday of start week)
  • In-person classes typically held Tuesday through Thursday at various locations (location details provided via HealthStream on the day of class)
  • Unit-based orientation scheduled by the manager
  • POCT class attendance required (scheduled separately from orientation week)
• Badge ID appointment must be completed in person during orientation; photo submissions are not accepted. Badge is required for clocking in.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend
• Holiday shifts: Every other holiday
• Return to Office (RTO) requirement: No more than 3 days off
• Scrub color: Steel Grey

Additional Compliance & Screening Requirements

• Background check, drug screen, and employment verification
• Various health screenings and vaccinations including COVID-19, Influenza, Hepatitis B, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, and TB screening
• Competency exams and skills checklist
• Multiple regulatory and exclusion screenings (e.g., FACIS, NURSYS, OIG, SAM, OFAC sanctions, sex offender registries)
• Physical exam and educational verification
• Confidentiality and attestation forms

This position is ideal for a Labor & Delivery nurse with strong clinical skills, recent experience, and the ability to comply with a rigorous orientation and credentialing process.
