Schedule

• Shift: Nights, 1900 to 0730
• Hours: 12-hour shifts
• Weekly hours: 48.00
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: Every other holiday
• Scheduling: No self-scheduling; block scheduling may be available if it meets unit needs
• Call/standby: No, unless it is an extra shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Stepdown (2 years of experience)
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Experience working with Post Cardiac Cath patients
• Experience with post procedural cath lab patients
• Experience working with Cardiac Surgery patients
• Experience with post cardiac surgical patients
• Management of TR band compression devices
• Management of chest pain

Preferred

• Fri/Sat/Sun option is available

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4 on days through 2300; 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
• Common patient types: cardiac medical and surgical patients, including post cath lab and post cardiac surgery cases
• Common procedures/conditions include stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, TAVR, CABG, valve replacements, Afib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, bradycardia, and temporary pacemaker
• Telemetry: 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients
• Charge RN takes a modified assignment
• Nurse aides are on the unit
• RT is available 24/7 and assists with nebulizers, inhalers, cpap, bipap, and vapotherm; RNs are responsible for incentive spirometry
• Floating: As needed based on unit census
• Scrubs: No scrubs provided; no scrub color specified
• Orientation: 1 shift of HR onboarding and 1 shift on the unit

• Candidates living within 80 miles of the facility are considered local rate
• Clinician must disclose if they have ever worked for Marshfield; if previously employed, the end date must be at least 6 months before submission
• All clinicians must clock in and out at the facility
