Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• RN (Registered Nurse)
• BLS (AHA)
• Travel experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license must be included with submittals

Unit Details

• 1E - MedSurg/Infectious Disease
• 18 beds, all private rooms due to infectious diseases
• Typical staffing is 3-4 RNs per shift
• 2 CNAs per shift
• No cardiac drips
• No vents; patients may have CPAP, BiPAP, or high flow managed by RT
• Remote Tele from the 3rd floor with monitors at the desk; RNs do not read or interpret strips

Patient Population

• Infectious Disease, Isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, and similar cases

Experience / Skills

• Strong knowledge in MedSurg, ID, and isolation precautions

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts: 1900-0730
• Every-other-weekend required
• Holidays as needed based on unit coverage
• Travelers may be called off for low census
• Travelers are scheduled where needed; block scheduling may be allowed if unit needs are met

Floating

• Floating is required to any MedSurg units
• If floated to Tele, patients will be assigned within skillset

Orientation

• 1 day of EPIC orientation
• 1 day on the floor with a preceptor
• 3rd day on their own

Dress Code

• Royal blue scrubs
• Scrub jacket, if worn, must be an actual scrub jacket and royal blue
• No hoodies or sweat-jackets
