Intensive Care Unit Boise Hospital Flr 3 RN

Overview

• 13-week travel assignment in Boise, Idaho
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week
• Unit: Intensive Care Unit Boise Hospital Flr 3
• Combined SICU and MICU unit with 16 beds each
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 and 1:2

Required Qualifications

• RN license
• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS
• 2 years ICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel experience
• Experience in a similar size or larger ICU and hospital

Clinical Details

• Common patient types include CABG, CVA, subarachnoid hemorrhage, intracerebral brain hemorrhage, GI bleeds, DKA, STEMI, Septic Shock, OD, respiratory failure, neuro surgery, and open hearts
• Travelers do not need experience with CRRT, ECMO, or balloon pump
• Does not include trauma, burns, or transplants
• RNs are required to titrate drips
• Common drips include Dopamine, Epi, Norepi, cardene, nitro, neo, vasopressin, diltiazem, insulin, and esmolol
• RN monitors and reads strips

Scheduling and Float

• Every other weekend or half of weekends required
• Holidays as needed
• No call or standby
• Floating includes other ICUs in the Valley: Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center
• May also float outside ICU as a 1:1 sitter

Orientation

• 1-2 shifts
