Location

• Burien, Washington

Contract

• 13 weeks
• Nights
• 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• No call or standby requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Washington RN license; pending license accepted for submission
• 2 full years of ICU experience

Clinical Experience

• Ventilated patients
• Cath lab recovery
• Therapeutic hypothermia
• Titrating drips

Unit Details

• ICU with 10 ICU beds and 21 PCU beds
• Typical ratios: 2:1 in ICU and 3:1 in PCU
• Charge nurse available 24 hours; house supervisor available 1500-0700
• Intensivist available 0800-1500; hospitalist available 24 hours
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Remote monitor techs present; nurses read their own strips

Floating

• Primarily ICU, with float to PCU and med-surg units when needed
• May float throughout Region One, including Federal Way and Seattle locations

Scheduling and Orientation

• Centralized scheduling
• 1 shift of orientation

Work Environment

• Common patient types include COVID, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, sepsis, and DKA
• Common drips include sedation, pressors, diuretics, insulin, and amiodarone
• No set scrub color; professional scrubs of any color are allowed
