Registered Nurse (Oncology Infusion)

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 7:00 AM - Noon)
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

Provide intravenous chemotherapy and other IV therapies, including pre- and post-treatment patient care in a busy chemotherapy infusion unit.

Key Responsibilities

Assess patients prior to IV treatments
Access Ports or peripheral IVs for lab draws and therapies
Administer chemotherapy and other IV infusions, including prescribed intravenous and oral pre-treatment medications
Operate infusion equipment and monitor patients during treatment
Monitor and manage side effects or reactions according to protocols

Required Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) license
ACLS (AHA) certification
BLS (AHA) certification
Chemotherapy infusion experience preferred; chemo certification is a plus but not required
Experience with Cerner and Intellidose (TxM) systems is highly desirable

Additional Information

Flexibility with hours based on patient schedules is preferred
Prior chemotherapy infusion experience is strongly preferred to meet the fast-paced needs of the unit
