Registered Nurse (Med-Surg/ER) - Sibley, Iowa

Job Details

• Shift: Day/Night rotation
• Hours: 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM), approximately 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun)
• Holiday Rotation: Required, rotated with permanent staff based on weekend schedule

Work Environment

• Unit size: Up to 12 beds, average census 3-6 patients (may rise to 10 due to COVID)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4-5 with team nursing (floor nurse and charge nurse collaborate)
• Patient acuity: Typically 1-2 patients requiring more intensive care; higher volume of swing bed patients
• EMR system: MediTech
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs; fleece not permitted, but similar outer shells (e.g., North Face jacket) allowed

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Current RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting EKG strips
