Adolescent Psych RN

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Days, 7a-7p (3x12)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Overview

RN role responsible for direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in all areas of the unit, including delegation, supervision, safety, patient/family education, and collaboration with other health professionals.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Maine
Psychiatric experience within the last year
3 years of psychiatric experience
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years previous nursing experience working with children and adolescents
Basic Dysrhythmia, or obtained before completion of orientation
Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training, or obtained before completion of orientation

Additional Notes

No previous St. Mary's employees
Candidates with licensure hits will not be considered
Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
The facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract
Candidate must reside outside a 50-mile radius
