Job info

Pre-op and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in an outpatient surgical center
Unit details:
- Pre-op beds: 9 (1:1 patient ratio)
- PACU beds: 15 (2:1 patient ratio)
- Staff: 21 RNs on day and night shifts
- Equipment: Critical care level

Approximately 95% orthopedic cases including ACL repairs, total joint replacements, and arthroscopic procedures
Responsibilities include starting IVs, preparing patients for surgery, and recovering patients through phases 1 and 2 post-anesthesia
Data collection and patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Orthopedics experience, including comfort with ACL repairs, total joint replacements, and arthroscopic procedures
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
De-escalation skills
