Pediatric RN Travel Assignment

Overview

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Unit focus: Pediatrics and oncology
Bed count: 19 total beds
Patient ratios: 1:3, 1:4, 1:5

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
PALS
Pediatrics experience
Pediatric Med Surg experience within the last year
2 years of Pediatric Med Surg experience

Preferred Experience

Pediatric hospital experience
Pediatric oncology experience

Schedule / Assignment Details

Orientation includes 4 hours of hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
6 weekend shifts are required, including 2 Saturdays

Unit Environment

At least 1 oncology nurse is staffed each day
Day shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT
Night shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 charge RN, 1 RT, and 1 PCT
Typical equipment includes Alaris pumps

Additional Notes

Floating may include PICU and NICU
Scrubs: navy blue or white top
Best fit: detail-oriented and organized
Tobacco use is prohibited on campus properties
