Registered Nurse — Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Burlington, North Carolina
• Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and holidays as needed
• 13-week contract
• Inpatient stroke/neuro population with multiple comorbidities
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5–1:6

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• MAB
• NIHSS
• Pass/fail EKG testing required for RNs
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience
• Feeding tube care and management experience
• Experience with accessing ports, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs
• Experience with CVA, nasal cannula, isolation precautions, wound care/wound vac, and patient ratios of 1:5–1:6

Scheduling / Work Expectations

• Floating is required across all facilities
• Must be flexible with scheduling
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
