Job Description
- Provide nursing care on Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential to float to related units including Emergency Department.
- Work 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts (day or night) with rotating shifts possible to meet operational needs.
- Shifts:
- Day: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Night: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Must work at least every other holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Orientation & Onboarding
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome).
- Modules include safety, medication, and ECG competency exams.
- Photo ID required for badge.
- Physical and health documentation must be current and compliant before start.
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; facility will also conduct fingerprinting onsite.
- Candidates may start with fingerprint results pending if fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
Additional Notes
- Candidates must carry a government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
- Employment application must include at least 3 years of prior work history, including 2 years in acute care and similar clinical area.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with flexibility to float to related units.
- Pass/fail competency exams for medication administration and ECG interpretation are required at orientation.
- Traveler must be prepared to comply with all health and safety protocols, including immunizations and drug screening.
