Registered Nurse – Infusion (Travel/Contract)
Location: Attleboro, Massachusetts
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Unit & Patient Details
- Unit Type: Infusion
- Average Daily Census: 32 patients
- Beds: 12
- Patient Age Group: Adults and Geriatrics
- Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Common Diagnoses: Hematology and oncology, asthma/allergy, GI, rheumatology, multiple sclerosis, and other non-oncology conditions
- Special Procedures: Port accessing, IV placement
- Medication System: Omnicell
- Documentation Systems: Cerner and IntelliDose
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Minimum 1 year of infusion nursing experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certificate
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start
- N95 fit test within last 6 months (specific approved mask models required)
- Immunizations and Titers:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (with medical documentation required for declination)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (immune titer or 2 vaccines; no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B (immune titer with numerical value or signed declination accepted)
- Varicella (immune titer or 2 vaccines; no declinations accepted)
- TB Testing:
- 2-step PPD or Qgold/Tspot within 90 days of start
- Negative chest x-ray and annual TB questionnaire if previously positive
- Drug screen within 30 days prior to start (minimum 9 panel; marijuana testing not required)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually (September–April)
- COVID-19 Vaccination required; exemptions only accepted with signed medical or religious documentation
Background & Screening
- Standard background check within 1 year of start, including:
- 7-year SS trace and county searches
- Nationwide and sex offender registry checks
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
- Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search required for all travelers in MA
- Statewide iCORI (criminal offender record information) clearance required before start
Additional Facility Requirements
- Badge photo (headshot with plain background) to be uploaded 2 weeks prior to start
- Completion of facility-specific compliance checklist, latex allergy questionnaire, personal information forms, and COVID exemption forms if applicable
- Scrubs: Not provided; any color allowed
References
- 2 professional references required within 3 years for travel acute care positions
