Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU

Location

Lexington, Kentucky

Employment Type

Travel/Contract

Contract Length

Approximately 14 weeks

Work Schedule

Night shift, 4 shifts per week
12 hours per shift (48 hours per week)

Unit and Role Description

PCU (Progressive Care Unit) float to ICU
Must have critical thinking skills and ability to work with high acuity patients who may require rapid response
Will float between ICU and other PCU units, including Med/Surg and Telemetry experience areas
Orientation provided for other transitional units

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU (Progressive Care Unit) experience
One completed travel assignment
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by the American Heart Association
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience
Med/Surg experience
Telemetry experience
