MRI Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Weston, Florida
Shift: Night (4x10 hours), 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, Monday through Thursday
Hours per Week: 40

Job Summary

• Work schedule: Monday through Thursday nights, no call or weekend requirements
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist
• MRI Technologist experience within the last year
• ARRT (MR) certification in hand
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification (AHA provider card or RQI acceptable) in hand

Certifications & Licenses

• Florida Radiographer license required (primary source verification within 30 days of start)
• ARRT CT license not required for this position
• ACLS certification required only for Cath Lab Techs (not specified for this role)
• BLS certification required for all candidates (AHA provider card or RQI acceptable)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within one year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for every contract renewal
• Primary source verification of education required
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint results required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Required immunizations or positive titers:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season (10/31–3/31), no declinations accepted; medical/religious exemptions allowed with approved documentation
• COVID-19 vaccination: 2 doses Pfizer or Moderna OR 1 dose Johnson & Johnson required; no declinations allowed; boosters not required at this time; medical/religious exemptions require agency-approved documentation

Drug Testing

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (does not require annual update)
• Florida Medical Marijuana card not accepted

Onboarding & Training

• Completion of facility-specific online training modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome; video must be watched before test)
• COVID-19 exemption form must be uploaded if applicable
• Competency exam required as applicable to specialty

Documentation & References

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government-issued photo ID required and must be carried during hours of service
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• 2 professional references within 2 years of start required for travel allied positions
• Employment application required
• Annual skills checklist for applicable unit
