Travel/Contract role in Huntington, West Virginia
13-week assignment
Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
Blocked scheduling is an option

Unit Details

5 North/Step-down is a 20-bed unit with all private rooms
Typical ratio is 4:1, but it can be 5:1 depending on staffing
The unit cares for stable patients with a higher risk of becoming unstable, including pulmonary, cardiac, neuro, GI, and surgery patients
The unit accepts patients who do not require invasive monitoring
Adult med-surg, telemetry, and step-down patients may be present based on bed availability
Critical drips administered on the unit include Amiodarone, Esmolol, Insulin, Lasix, Cardizem, and Nitroglycerin

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in West Virginia
Cardiac Stepdown experience within the last year
1 year of Cardiac Stepdown experience
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
