Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Morgantown, West Virginia
• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Possible extension: Yes
• Shift: Nights, 7p-7a, weekdays and some weekends
• Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 days weekdays; some weekends
• Typical ratio: 1:4, with flex to 1:5 in emergencies
• Holiday RTO requests should be limited to no more than 2 of the 4 major holidays
• Blocked schedules are considered, but only weekend blocks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience, 1.5 years
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• IV start skill
• Ability to read cardiac strips
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience
• 2 clinical references
• Candidate profile/work history
• Specialty-specific skills checklist
• RN license verification
• All required certifications must be on file prior to start

• Workers Compensation Documentation

Unit Details

• Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit
• The unit includes patients who would be Progressive Care or Tele patients in a larger facility
• Acuity varies

Additional Notes

• Travel experience is not required
• Scrubs are not provided; burgundy and/or white are required
• Cerner is the EMR used onsite
