Neuro ICU RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Location: Dallas, Texas
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Specialty: Neuro ICU
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Hours: 36 per week
- Work expectations: Weekends, floating, and holidays may be required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Neuro ICU (1 year of experience)
- Neuro ICU experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Required Certifications / Exams
- BLS
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Pass/Fail testing for medication and EKG/dysrhythmia competency
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
Required Documents / Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID or passport
- E-Verify or attestation
- Background check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check
- HHS/OIG check
- Photo for badge
- Signed job description
- Non-employee internet access form
- NESF form
- Hepatitis B declination form if applicable
- Flu exemption form if applicable
- Medical exemption form if applicable

Health Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test during orientation
- Tdap
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
- MMR immunity or documentation of 2 MMR vaccines
- Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination series, or declination
- Varicella immunity or documentation of 2 varicella vaccines
- 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
Notes
- Local rate applies within 90 miles
- A valid photo ID name must match the candidate’s documentation
- Passport may be used instead of driver’s license or state ID
- The medication and EKG/dysrhythmia exams allow two attempts
