Neuro ICU RN Travel Contract

Overview

  • Location: Dallas, Texas
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract

  • Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Hours: 36 per week
  • Work expectations: Weekends, floating, and holidays may be required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Neuro ICU (1 year of experience)
  • Neuro ICU experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Required Certifications / Exams

  • BLS
  • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Pass/Fail testing for medication and EKG/dysrhythmia competency
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam

Required Documents / Compliance

  • Government-issued photo ID or passport
  • E-Verify or attestation
  • Background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Photo for badge
  • Signed job description
  • Non-employee internet access form
  • NESF form
  • Hepatitis B declination form if applicable

Health Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit test during orientation
  • Tdap
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
  • MMR immunity or documentation of 2 MMR vaccines
  • Hepatitis B immunity, vaccination series, or declination
  • Varicella immunity or documentation of 2 varicella vaccines
  • 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season

Notes

  • Local rate applies within 90 miles
  • A valid photo ID name must match the candidate’s documentation
  • Passport may be used instead of driver’s license or state ID
  • The medication and EKG/dysrhythmia exams allow two attempts
