Physical Therapist - Home Health (Travel/Contract)
Location: Tampa, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day (5x8 hours), 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 40
Job Description
- Provide skilled home health physical therapy visits (6-8 visits per day) for patients with conditions including med/surg, cardiac, ortho (hips/knees/shoulders), post-surgical, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, CVA, falls, weakness, Parkinson’s, failure to thrive, respiratory patients, neuro, trachs, trauma, amputations (AKA, BKA), and ADLs.
- Responsibilities include assessment, cardiopulmonary/circulatory care, documentation, use of equipment and devices (gait belt, rolling walker, sit-to-stand lift, sliding boards, collars, supplemental oxygen, upper extremity prosthetics, wheelchair assessment), ortho and neuro therapy, home exercise programs, medication management, patient and family education, abuse signs and symptoms recognition (physical, sexual, psychological), safety and injury prevention, and billing.
- Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs.
- Weekend work required 1-2 weekends per contract.
Contract Length
- Approximately 20 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in a Home Health setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
