Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU

Location: Kerrville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
Work Setting: Rotating schedule between PreOp and PACU with floating between surgery center and main hospital as needed

Job Description

• Must have experience in PreOp and PACU nursing
• Schedule is on rotation starting between 5:30 AM and 8:00 AM, with shifts assigned in advance
• Floating required within campus between surgery center and main hospital
• Late shifts are shared and assigned
• Meditech electronic health record experience preferred
• Location is in Texas wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
• Minimum of 1 year of recent PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Physical exam required within 1 year of start (specific to travel placement)
• Must complete facility-specific health requirements and vaccination documentation or declinations
• Must be willing to float between different units on campus as needed
