Contract Length

21 weeks

Schedule Notes

• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Must work 2 of 3 holiday bundles
• Floating to other inpatient units may occur
• Block scheduling is not available
• New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Mexico
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• NIH Stroke Certification
• TNCC

Clinical Requirements

• ICU nursing care with mixed ICU, sub-acute, and floor-status patients
• Experience with procedures and management including chest tubes, intubation, CRRT, arterial and central lines, ventilator management, dysrhythmia management, vasoactive and cardiac drips, IV sedation, procedural sedation, stroke care, BiPAP/CPAP support, ABG interpretation, suctioning, phlebotomy, and wound/drain care

Compliance / Health Requirements

• COVID vaccination required; medical and religious exemptions accepted
• Tdap required
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask within 1 year of start
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Annual TB questionnaire
• 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
• Unit-specific skills checklist required
