Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per week: 36
• Start Date: ASAP
• Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend required
• Holiday Requirement: One holiday required
• Floating: May float within scope as "Helping Hands" to other units
• Block Schedule: Possible at manager’s discretion
• Local Candidates: Not accepted (must be outside a 70-mile radius)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Experience with Antepartum, Labor Delivery Recovery & Postpartum (LDRP), and Nursery care
• Proficiency with Epic Electronic Health Record system
• Valid Driver's License

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Criminal background check within 12 months, including SSN trace and nationwide search
• Wisconsin Caregiver Screening required prior to start
• Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
• Negative drug screen within 12 months of start
• TB test (PPD, Qgold, or TSPOT) within 12 months; chest x-ray within 5 years if prior positive PPD
• OSHA Respirator Clearance required prior to start for fit testing (fit test completed onsite during orientation)
• Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season
• COVID vaccination series preferred
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and checklists
• Completion of confidentiality, security, and ethical conduct agreements prior to start
• Photo for badge (passport style, shoulders up, plain background) required

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers accepted
• Must complete Wisconsin BID form (time sensitive) prior to start
• Must complete all required training modules assigned based on unit
• Fit testing must be completed and documentation returned within two weeks of start to avoid removal from assignment
• Candidate may be required to complete additional online training if assigned to ICU/CCU or Cath Lab units (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for a Labor and Delivery RN with solid clinical experience, Wisconsin licensure, and EPIC proficiency, seeking a travel contract with night shifts and a supportive team environment.
