Registered Nurse - Progressive Care / Intermediate Care
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Shift: Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Schedule: Every third weekend and rotating holidays
Contract Length: 9 weeks
Unit Description
- Progressive Care Unit caring for cardiac patients including open heart surgery, TAVR, Watchman, and post-cardiac procedure patients.
- One pod with 8 patients classified as Intermediate Care (IMC).
- Patient conditions include new BiPAP, DKA, CIWA, and patients requiring titration of drips.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- No RQI certifications accepted.
Experience
- Specialty experience in progressive/intermediate care nursing with cardiac patient populations is implied; no explicit years of experience stated.
Additional Notes
- Night shift with a focus on critical cardiac and intermediate care patients.
- Rotating holiday and weekend schedule.
